El.Va.S. produces scoreboards for all sports and all types of sports hall, from small gyms to large arenas. But how do you choose the scoreboard best suited to your needs? First, it is necessary to take into consideration that the various federations regulate this aspect in the technical regulations. After looking at the regulations, the second aspect to take into consideration is the distance there is between the point where the scoreboard is installed and the farthest point where the data should be read. Once the distance has been measured, we need to consider this simple rule: a character 10 centimeters high can be read up to 40 meters away. If we take for example an ADV300 scoreboard where the smallest character is 20 centimeters the maximum reading distance is 80 meters. Finally, the technical regulations of the various federations also regulate what data must be demonstrated on the scoreboard. Generally, the regulations indicate that in small and medium-sized gyms it is sufficient for the scoreboard to show the team’s overall data, since provincial and regional level competitions are usually played in these types of facilities. In medium-sized and large arenas, scoreboards must also show individual player data.

There is no definite rule. The first element to be considered is that the scoreboard must be conveniently visible to both the court judges and the audience. When this condition cannot be met with only one scoreboard two or more are installed. In these cases there must be a main scoreboard showing all the necessary information installed in a position clearly visible to the public, a second repeater scoreboard that may also have show less information than the main one, and the latter must be installed in a position clearly visible to teams and court judges.

Data transmission via wireless frequencies is a good alternative in small and medium-sized sports hall where there is little distance between the console and the scoreboard. The latter is an optimal solution when plant works are not desired to create a wired connection. Our small and medium-sized scoreboards all have data transmission wireless. However, it must be kept in mind that in some cases wireless transmission may not work perfectly for various reasons. In all cases where it is possible, we prefer to recommend a wired, so as to ensure a more reliable dialogue between scoreboard and console.

In some of our models it is possible to choose between two different types of consoles. The ADV060 console is the cheapest and is suitable in cases where multiple people may use it, such as in gyms used by both schools and sports clubs. The ADV070 console is the most comprehensive, allowing even scoreboards with personal information of players to be managed. It offers an excellent experience and ease of use thanks to the large touch screen that shows all data in real time.

Installing small and medium-sized scoreboards is easy, as they weigh only a few dozen pounds. Our scoreboards have hooks located in the back that allow it to be hung as if it were a picture. Before attaching it, it is important to carefully check that the supporting wall is made of suitable material to support the weight of the scoreboard you have chosen. Remember that for work that is carried out at height it is necessary to use qualified personnel who can work safely and with all the necessary PPE. In case of special installations, we have qualified personnel who are able to carry out even the most complex installations. We recommend requesting installation service when you do not have specialized personnel to perform work at height.

If you already own El.Va.S. ADV series products, you can connect new products to the system you already own. To do this, simply tell us the serial number of the system you own, which can be found on the underside of the console. It will be sufficient to enter it directly in the information requested in the shopping cart during purchase. If you own scoreboards prior to the ADV series please contact us. You will always have to provide us with the serial number, which again you can find in the lower part of the console.

Of course!!! If you own equipment from other companies, you can still buy our products. However, you must consider that the two products will not be able to be controlled from the same console. For example, if you already own a scoreboard of another brand and want to purchase a pair of our timers, you can do so by requesting the independent console when purchasing. The only case where we cannot help you is if you own another company’s scoreboard and want to add a second repeater scoreboard. In that case you cannot match one of our products.

EL.VA.S. equipment is covered by warranty for 24 months from the date of purchase against any defect in materials or construction. In the event that defects are found or in the event of lack of essential characteristics and qualities of the PRODUCT, the CUSTOMER must notify EL.VA.S. of the findings within 8 (eight) days from the date of receipt of the PRODUCT (the date of receipt of the product is determined by the date indicated on the d.o.t.).

FIBA-certified scoreboards are subjected to strict controls and meet all the necessary characteristics to be able to play the highest level of basketball competitions. El.Va.S. is the only Italian company to have FIBA Level 1 certification. Level 1 is the highest possible certification and allows the scoreboards to be used in national and world events.

El.Va.S. designs, manufactures and assembles all products in-house. This allows us to be able to customize scoreboards to the customer’s individual request. From the choice of display colors, to the size of the scoreboard to the creation of special products designed and custom built with the functionality and features required by the customer.

Scoreboards that are made to be used in harsh environments (such as swimming pools and outdoor sports) undergo conformal coating treatments. This treatment protects the boards and all electronic components from moisture, going for increased durability and reliability.
